In his youth, Freddie worked as a section hand for the old
Nevada Northern Railway, and helped with reconstruction of the track
that the Ghost Train slides across, today.
He was born in the old Ely Hospital, just a stone's throw from the old Requa Depot, in downtown Ely, Nevada.
The Ghost Train is a northeastern Nevada icon, operating
out of Ely, Nevada
